So, what is a diaper cake?
There is nothing edible here. The tiers are built from real diapers and dressed with the things a newborn actually gets through — then finished by hand so it arrives looking like something from a patisserie window.
Nothing is baked
No sponge, no icing, nothing that spoils. The shape comes entirely from how it's folded and stacked.
It's meant to come apart
Once the photos are taken, every piece is unwrapped and used — often for months.
It arrives ready to give
Boxed, ribboned and sent with a handwritten card, straight to whoever it's for.
Every layer, unpacked
This is a Mini cake, unpacked. The exact pieces change with every design — muslin cloths, bottles and bonnets appear too.

Our story
PrettyCakes began in 2008 when our founder stayed up making a diaper cake for a friend's baby shower — and realised a gift could be beautiful and useful at the same time. We moved to Kuala Lumpur in 2015, and every cake since has been assembled by hand, one at a time.
